Those feelings of expectation, deservation and entitlement that people harbour only lead to strings of disappointment. If you think you deserve something there’s somebody else out there who deserves it more than you do. If you expect something of someone, please be certain that, that someone also expects something of you, so how do we reconcile that. Because all that comes out of that, is disappointment, and even more disappointment.
If however, we not necessarily eliminate, but reduce, our expectations, our feelings of deservation and entitlement, then we would experience less friction with ourselves and the world at large. We’d experience less disappointments.
The world owes you nothing, live with it!
Indeed blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.
